Housing Filter

So, the_infamous_j are just starting out on the slow slow road of housebuying, and I'm going to make a filter to talk about it.

It's probably most of interest to locals, since a lot of things I'll be talking about probably won't make sense unless you live here.

Anyways, let me know if you want in. I'll seed it with the contents of my finances filter, and then you can opt-in or -out as you please!

I've had a recommendation to get a house inspection (sounds like a good idea)

The cheapest house in K/W I've seen so far is $99k, and it's small and "has uneven floors" :>

Most definitely get a house inspection.. and make your offer "subject to house inspection approval" or however it goes.

I would even consider getting a house inspection on a brand new house.. they really build crap nowadays.
