The Blue Rodeo concert I attended last night was pretty good. It was the first time I'd been to Center in the Square, and it's actually a pretty nice venue. They played some stuff from their new album, as well as some most of their hits: 5 Days in May, Try, Till I Am Myself Again, and in the encore Hasn't Hit Me Yet (my favourite!) and Lost Together. They mostly stayed away from their more country-esque songs, which made me happy. :)
So, pretty awesome. :)
[Geekery in this tidbit:] With your suggestions, I went to NCIX and went to see what they had in Mini-ITX for my linux computer. I ended up with this, which appears to be a Mini-ITX motherboard with a passively-cooled embedded 1.2 GHz Celeron on it, with everything I need onboard, for $80. I realize it's nearly obsolete technology, but it's perfect for a file server. I just had to add a 1 GB stick of memory ($27) and a case ($56), and I got away with taxes and shipping for less than $200, and I'll just add in an old hard drive I have here. It looks like this will meet everything: easy, cheap, and small! And maybe even quiet, depending on how the case sounds (since it's the only bit with fans).
Maybe I should see if I can get a laptop drive into it for extra quietness and power-frugality. Or flash. mmm.
Today is Rock Band day at Chez Max. It's totally going to be awesome fun.
After months of planning (well, at least intending, if not 'planning', per se), I finally bought our plane tickets for England!
We're leaving May 14th in the evening, spending a week in London, and returning May 22nd. I'm excited!
Got to go clean house for visitors! *runs off*
