I just discovered that Dolly Parton did a ... country... cover of one of my favourite songs from my early teenage years, Collective Soul's "Shine".

Whoa-oh *twaaang* Heaven let your light shine down.

And she won a Grammy for it? WTF, yo.
(It's very twangy, but not a *horrific* rendition...)

BOOO. I didn't know that. It was her when she's about 20, before the advent of the megaboobs, singing on some old TV program called The Wagon House, doing that old hymn "How Great Thou Art". Gave you SHIVERS, I say.
