The crippling snow-storm of the decade turned out not to be horribly awful, but it was persistent and very slowly dumped a LOT of snow on us. I've never had to shovel twice one day before. Also, the plows haven't been down our street yet, and it's... interesting... to attempt to drive out. Fishtail is fun for everyone!
I still wouldn't have wanted to drive very far in it (I went as far as the local grocery store this morning, and decided that was quite plenty for me), as the wind kept blowing it back onto the streets, so they were never particularly clear.
But yeah, next time EC tells me there's going to be a near-crippling record snowstorm, I want a real one.
But maybe not until after we befriend a neighbour with a snowblower. :>

We didn't bother to do the drive until after the snow stopped. Why bother? I have 24 hours after it stops to clear my sidewalks. And I have yet to see a plow. I doubt I will until after I get home tomorrow. Which will screw me from getting into my driveway by dumping a bazillion tons of snow right at the end of it which I cannot ram my car through. Bastards. Kind of.

Then again, we didn't go out at all yesterday except to shovel the driveway around 4 or so.

Wasn't fun being trapped in the house with almost 3' of snow in the street and waiting 4 days for a plow. It got to the point that people were using snowmobiles, skis and walking with snow blowers just to get out of the houses and to the store. I even saw a rare pair of snowshoes pulled out of retirement. Forgot I actually had a pair of them until I managed to get to the garage after the spring melt.
Hmm... maybe I should grab them while it's still possible to get to the garage since it's supposed to be such a bad winter this year.

I wish I knew who made it for me :(
